Leading Strategic Communications Across Multi-Country Operations
Multi-country Integrated Communications
Strategic communications leadership across boarders for clarity of voice, inluence and impact.
Context
As Senior Regional Communications Manager at TechnoServe, Liz led communications for the USAID Feed the Future-funded Alliance for Inclusive and Nutritious Food Processing (AINFP) operating across Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, and Zambia.
The programme operated within a complex donor-funded ecosystem involving government counterparts, private sector food processors, and global technical partners. Geographic expansion and diverse stakeholder expectations risked fragmented messaging, inconsistent brand representation, and diluted programme visibility at a time when accountability and measurable impact were under scrutiny.
Mandate
Entrusted with regional leadership of communications, Liz was responsible for:
Developing and executing a multi-country strategic communications framework
Strengthening donor confidence and programme visibility
Aligning national teams under a coherent narrative architecture
Embedding knowledge management aligned with USAID’s global learning agenda
Strategic Actions
Designed an integrated regional communications strategy aligning country outputs with overarching programme objectives.
Introduced structured planning rhythms and editorial governance across markets to ensure message consistency and brand compliance.
Developed high-level impact products: case studies, learning briefs, infographics, client success stories, and advocacy packs.
Led cross-country teams and external consultants (designers, writers, digital experts) to standardise quality and output.
Integrated knowledge management systems, including webinars and learning papers, aligned with donor reporting cycles.
Provided strategic counsel to leadership during high-visibility programme milestones and sensitive stakeholder engagements.
Strengthened digital presence across website, Agrilinks, newsletters, and social media platforms to amplify regional performance.

Enhanced donor trust through structured, evidence-based communication outputs.
